Services

Controller-level support, without the full-time overhead

A clear path from accounting execution to controllership and financial analysis. Start at the stage you need today and add the next as you grow. Systems setup and cleanup for tools like QuickBooks, Ramp, and Expensify are included where you need them.

For businesses & nonprofits

  1. 1

    Stage 1

    Accounting operations

Accurate books and filings, on schedule. The foundation everything else is built on.

    Monthly close & financial reporting

Books that close on schedule every month and financial statements you can trust, backed by a GAAP-minded close, reconciliations, and general ledger review of your P&L and balance sheet.

    Multi-entity & intercompany accounting

One clear picture across all your related entities, without the mess: intercompany accounting, cost allocations, and consolidated-view reporting.

    CT/NY sales tax & 1099 compliance

Filings and payments tracked so deadlines don’t sneak up on you: CT and NY Sales & Use Tax, NY Commercial Rent Tax, annual 1099s, and coordination with your outside tax advisor (including PTET).

  2. 2

    Stage 2

    Controllership

Oversight that keeps the numbers right as you grow, so problems surface before year-end.

AP, AR, T&E & internal controls

Spending that stays approved and coded correctly, and customer payments that come in on time: approval workflows and written policies, streamlined payables, corporate card and T&E expense programs, invoicing, collections, and cash application, plus oversight and training for your accounting staff.

    Audit preparation & year-end support

Catch problems before year-end, not during the audit. Schedules and supporting reconciliations prepared for your external auditors so the audit runs on time with fewer surprises.

    Nonprofit & foundation accounting

Financials your board and funders can rely on: grant tracking and reporting, board-ready financial statements, and expense allocation across programs, admin, and fundraising, plus AP, AR, and general ledger review under the same controls as everything else.

  3. 3

    Stage 3

    Financial analysis

Decision-ready numbers: where you make money, what cash you have, and what’s coming.

Cash flow, profitability & fractional FP&A

See which clients and projects make money and what cash is coming and going, with WIP and project accounting, KPI and management reporting, and analysis to guide budgeting and resource planning.

    Treasury & cash management

Know what cash you have and what’s due: daily cash positioning and forecasting, intercompany transfers, controlled wire and ACH setup and release, and banking relationship support.

    AI agents & finance automation

Less manual work and fewer errors: custom AI agents and workflows (Claude, ChatGPT, Grok) that handle data entry, bill monitoring, analysis, and reporting.

About

Meet Joel Patricio Corral, MS

Joel is an accounting and finance leader with more than a decade of experience at award-winning organizations across Connecticut and New York, including a multi-entity group that has reached $100M+ in annual revenue, where he helps lead shared finance operations across multiple legal entities, including a nonprofit foundation. He owns the month-end close, financial reporting, intercompany accounting, and the preparation and review of reconciliations, plus general ledger review of the monthly P&L and balance sheet. As a finance partner to the CFO, he supports treasury and cash-flow visibility, from daily cash positioning to wire and ACH controls and banking relationships. He holds a Master of Science in Professional Accounting from Syracuse University’s Whitman School of Management, where he graduated with honors.

He has strengthened internal controls by building the company’s cost allocation decision matrix and standardized approval and coding guidance, prepares year-end schedules for the external audit, and leads state and local tax compliance: CT and NY Sales & Use Tax, NY Commercial Rent Tax, annual 1099s, and coordination with outside tax advisors on entity and partner filings, including PTET. He also manages, trains, and mentors accounting staff, builds AI agents that automate routine finance work, and is a commissioned State of Connecticut Notary Public.

Corral Advisory brings that same hands-on, agency-tested experience to small and growing businesses and nonprofits that need a dependable finance partner.
